On Tuesday Susan Lundholm, opera singer, and Timothy Filiman, bass player ,will be coming to Harper College to perform a classical music concert full of great music. Lundholm and Filiman have both performed in many operas and other classical music concerts.
Lundholm has performed in roles such as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore, Norina in Don Pasquale, and other big roles in the Chicago Opera Theater. Filiman is a singer and a professional bass player, but will be coming to perform his bass. Filiman has had hundreds of performances with the Chicago Opera Theater as well.
Harper College music student Anne McGrath was asked some questions about this upcoming performance and said “my music teacher told us about this concert and it seems like a great opportunity to learn more about music and watch the professionals do their job. I am definitely considering going to see this concert, and I hope many do too.”
Another Harper College student involved in the theater program at school, Jake Johnson, said “sounds like a great opportunity for students and others to experience. If involved in music or anything in the arts, this looks like it’s going to be a fun time filled with great music. More people should be informed on this event, I hope it has a good turn out.”
Lundholm and Filiman will be performing different classical and contemporary works. General admission is $10, and $7 for Harper students. Doors open at 6 pm, and the concert starts at 730 PM.
