NOW OPEN: Harper Hawks Care

Despite unemployment dipping to record lows nationwide, 43% of households are still struggling to afford basic necessities like food and rent according to a study by the United Way ALICE Project published on May 18, 2018 (source: HawksCareHarper College is responding to the needs of students who may be finding themselves struggling to get school supplies, gas, textbooks or who may be even skipping breakfast and/or lunch by offering access to breakfast, lunch and snack items while on campus. Harper Hawks Care opened in January 2018 thanks to the generosity of a grant through the Harper College Educational Foundation.

Hawks Care resources will allow students greater flexibility in adjusting their budgets to get supplies, textbooks, gas and other college needs, especially during the first weeks of classes, and prior to financial aid disbursements.
